3rd TwinFest Grand Parade
Celebrating All Multiples in Alberta
The Parade Theme is “Hats Off”
Marching and Walking Units, Floats, Horse Carriage, Vintage Cars will be featuring in the 2018 Parade. But the highlight and centerpiece of this celebration of the uniqueness of multiple births people is You and Your Twin, or your triplet, quad or quint and of course your Twin Troupe. Twin troupes are your siblings who follow you and your twin in birth order.
Last year thousands of people lined Whyte Ave to watch the Parade adding a great depth of ambiance. So don’t miss the fun this year. Bring your whole family along with friends to take pictures.
Best of all there are tons of prizes to win: Best Walking Unit – children; Best Walking Unit-adults, Best Float Unit, Best Parade Theme Unit, Youngest Twin (Multiples), and Oldest Twin(Multiples) and many more. The Best Parade Theme Winner this year will have the singular privilege of a cartoon self-portrait by Gerry Rasmussen (who produces BETTY comic strip featured daily in the Edmonton Journal.)
The fun does not stop there but continues with a festival at End of Steel Park. Activities include circus, craft time, Twin contests, inflatables, Petting Zoo: exhibition of twin cultures from around the world and carnival foods and games.
